SomeHowNice

OUR JOURNEY
Somehownice was born out of a simple idea and a shared initiative of creating something out of waste plastic. A group of People form Ghana, Germany, Czech Republic and Colombia each with unique skills, together to brainstorm solutions that would make this project alive. After countless discussions and a successful colaboration with Somewherenice in Accra, somehownice secured enough funds to launch their first product.
2009 The beginning
Sir Toby's Ghana Limited was established in Accra, laying the foundation for long-term community-focused initiatives in hospitality, sanitation and sustainable development.

2023 3D PRINTING WORKSHOP
In 2023, the manufacturing facility in Accra began to take shape after creating a plastic extruder using commonly household electronics in Ghana. This innovative approach was made possible by the countless containers filled with old electronics arriving in country. With this unique resource, we have able to repurpose materials and contribute to sustainable manufacturing practices in the region.
2018 Nice Place
Welcome to Nice Place, a community hub located in Mandela Park, close to the Ossu Castle in Ghana. This project a collaboration between the City of Accra and Sir Tobys Ghana Limited, took two years to bring to life. Here, residents can access essential washroom facilities, toilets and showers, along with drinkable water. Nice Place is to serving the community's needs and improving the quality of life for all.

2024 SOMEHOWNICE
2026 Visit and work with a rotomolder
FabLab NiMa partnered with Universidad Mariana and UPB on a project in Accra, Ghana, where a team including Prof. Carlos Armando Patiño Terán ran a new rotomolding machine to turn recycled plastic waste into a functional prototype hygienic unit, along with technical guidelines for future production of safe, affordable toilets from plastic residue.
SomehowNice was born from the innovative idea of recycling plastic to create functional, sustainable toilets for people. We believe in waste into valuable resources, ensuring that everyone has access to essential sanitation. Join us in our mission to make a positive impact on the environment while improving lives through eco-friendly solutions. Together, we can create a cleaner and greener future.
